Victoria Quay, Fremantle, Western Australia

Located in a magnificent historical building on Victoria Quay Wharf, right in the centre of the Fremantle Port, E Shed Markets is a mere stone’s throw from the Railway Station and right next door to the Fremantle Maritime Museum, the Motor Museum and the Rottnest Ferry Terminals.

With a massive alfresco terrace over looking Fremantle harbour, it makes Eshed Markets the only water front market in Western Australia. From here you can watch the boats and ships passing by.

B Shed Ferry Terminal

The ferry terminal and Tasty Express café are at the eastern end of B Shed adjacent to the O’Connor Ferry Landing.

B Shed, built in 1926 as a general cargo shed, was refurbished in 2010. Contemporary units, which house the ferry offices and the café, are located within the shed and contrast vividly with the shed’s original structure. There are a number of historic photographs featured in glass panels and murals.

The ferry terminal project won a 2011 State Heritage Award.

Rottnest Express, Captain Cook Cruises, Oceanic Cruises and the Rottnest Island Authority Visitor Centre have offices within the ferry terminal

The museum houses several unique galleries that explore Western Australia’s relationship with the sea as well as being the home to the winning America’s Cup yacht Australia II, an Oberon class submarine — HMAS Ovens, Jon Sanders’ Parry Endeavour and many other iconic vessels from WA’s maritime history.
